What's the difference between quality scoring and runtime testing?
Quality scoring evaluates metadata and configuration — documentation, pricing, schemas, SEO, and reliability metrics. Runtime testing validates that the actor executes correctly, handles edge cases, and produces correct output. They're complementary: an actor needs both good configuration (quality score) and correct behavior (testing) to succeed on the Store. Quality scoring catches the 75% of adoption-killing issues that live outside your code.
Is 100 a realistic quality score target?
For most actors, 90+ is a more practical target than 100. Hitting 100 requires perfect scores across all 8 dimensions, including binary ones like agentic readiness and some that have subjective thresholds (like description length). An actor at 85-90 is well-configured for the Store. Chasing the last 10 points usually isn't worth the effort unless you're competing for top positioning in a crowded category.
