What are Alerts?
Alerts notify you when important events happen across your actor fleet — failures, revenue milestones, new users, cost spikes, and maintenance flags — so you know what happened without checking the dashboard. ApifyForge can send alerts for several event types. Failure alerts trigger when an actor's success rate drops below a threshold you set (default: 90%). Revenue alerts notify you of significant changes — a daily revenue spike or drop of more than 20% compared to the previous period. Maintenance alerts fire when Apify flags any of your actors for maintenance. Cost alerts trigger when your daily compute spending exceeds a threshold. New user alerts notify you when a new user runs one of your actors for the first time. Alerts help you catch problems before they compound. A failure alert on Monday means you fix the issue before the success rate drops enough to trigger a maintenance flag on Thursday. A revenue drop alert means you investigate immediately rather than discovering the problem at the end of the month. Configure alerts in the Alerts page under the Operations section of the dashboard sidebar. You can set thresholds per alert type and choose your notification channel. For proactive monitoring strategies, see the related questions about what happens when actors fail and why actors get flagged for maintenance.
